Fancy five nights on beautiful Lake Garda next May? I've found some great-value flights from five UK and Irish airports, paired with a three-bedroom holiday home at Bella Italia, one of the best-known family campsites on Lake Garda.
Think swimming pools, waterslides, lakeside walks and plenty of opportunities to explore Italy. You could spend a day relaxing at the campsite, visit Gardaland theme park or take the train into Verona.
The cheapest combination works out at just £157.27 per person for a family of six, including return flights and five nights in a three-bedroom holiday home.
I've included the different airport options and total holiday prices for families of three, four, five and six below, along with the equivalent price per person. The holiday home is priced per accommodation rather than per person, so larger families can get particularly good value.
Stay at Bella Italia on Lake Garda
Bella Italia is a large family campsite in Peschiera del Garda, right beside the lake. It's a great choice if you want a holiday with plenty to do on site but also fancy exploring the surrounding towns and attractions.
The campsite has a fantastic range of family facilities, with swimming pools, slides, restaurants and activities. There's direct access to the lakeside too, which is lovely for an evening stroll.
What's on site?
- Swimming pool complex: multiple pools, waterslides and children's water play areas.
- Lakeside location: direct access to Lake Garda and its shoreline.
- Restaurants and bars: places to eat and drink without leaving the campsite.
- Supermarket: handy for stocking up on breakfast, snacks and meals for your holiday home.
- Sports and activities: facilities including tennis, football and children's play areas.
- Family entertainment: organised activities and entertainment programmes during operating periods.
- Great location: Peschiera del Garda is nearby, with transport connections for exploring further afield.
Pool facilities and entertainment operate seasonally. Check Eurocamp's latest opening information for your exact May dates, as individual pools, slides and activities may be affected by weather or operating schedules.
Your three-bedroom holiday home
The accommodation I've priced is a three-bedroom Comfort holiday home sleeping up to six people.
It includes air conditioning, a shower and covered decking, giving you somewhere to relax outside after a day exploring or enjoying the pools.
Having your own kitchen is also a big advantage for family holidays. You can have breakfast before heading out, prepare lunches and avoid eating in restaurants for every meal.
The accommodation prices I found ranged from £439.60 to £448.22 for five nights, depending on the dates. These were discounted prices when I checked, with a £99 deposit option advertised.
The holiday home is priced as one unit for up to six guests, so the accommodation cost is the same whether three, four, five or six people stay. Just make sure you select the correct number of guests when booking.

May 2027 flights and accommodation deals
I've matched direct flights from five airports with five-night stays at Bella Italia. The dates vary slightly depending on the airport, but all the options are in early May 2027.
The prices below include return flights with an underseat bag and one three-bedroom holiday home. They're calculated using the flight price per person and the fixed accommodation price for each date.
Flights and accommodation are booked separately. Airport transfers, additional baggage, meals and activities are extra.
Flight links are set up for one traveller so you can choose your own family size. The table prices are examples calculated from the quoted per-person fares and fixed holiday-home cost. Flight prices can change when you select a different number of passengers, so always check the final booking total. The same flight fare has been used for adults and children in these examples; actual booking prices may vary.
Getting from Verona Airport to Bella Italia
Verona Airport is the closest major airport to Bella Italia, making this a fairly straightforward holiday to organise without hiring a car.
Private airport transfer or taxi
The easiest option for families is to pre-book a transfer directly from Verona Airport to Bella Italia. The journey is approximately 25–30 minutes in normal traffic.
This is particularly worth considering for the evening flights from Manchester, Birmingham and Dublin, which arrive quite late. If you're travelling as a family of six, make sure you book a vehicle with enough seats and luggage space.
Public transport
You can also take the airport bus to Verona Porta Nuova railway station, then catch a train to Peschiera del Garda.
From Peschiera station, the campsite is approximately 2 km away, so you can walk if you're travelling light or arrange a short taxi journey.
I'd check the bus and train times carefully before choosing this option, particularly with the later evening arrivals. For those flights, a direct transfer may be much more convenient.
Things to do near Bella Italia
One of the biggest advantages of staying in Peschiera del Garda is that there's so much to explore nearby. You could easily spend all five days enjoying the campsite, but I'd definitely recommend getting out to see a little of Lake Garda too.
Visit Gardaland theme park
Gardaland is one of Italy's biggest theme parks and a fantastic day out for families, with rollercoasters, family rides and attractions for younger children.
It's only a short distance from Peschiera del Garda, and there's normally a free shuttle service from Peschiera railway station to the park.
Check the official Gardaland opening calendar and ticket prices for your dates before planning your visit.
Explore Peschiera del Garda
Peschiera is a lovely town to explore, with canals, historic streets, restaurants and beautiful views across the lake.
You can enjoy a relaxed afternoon wandering around, stop for pizza or gelato and spend some time by the waterfront.
Take a trip to Sirmione
Sirmione is one of my favourite places on Lake Garda, with its beautiful lakeside setting, narrow streets and impressive Scaliger Castle.
It's a lovely place to spend a few hours, whether you want to explore the castle, take a boat trip or simply enjoy the views.
Visit Verona by train
Verona is another brilliant option for a day out. Trains run between Peschiera del Garda and Verona Porta Nuova, with the journey taking around 15–20 minutes on many services.
You can visit the Roman Arena, explore the historic centre, wander through Piazza delle Erbe and see Juliet's famous courtyard.
Movieland Park and Caneva Aquapark
If your family loves theme parks, you might also want to look at Movieland Park near Lazise, which has film-themed rides and attractions.
Caneva Aquapark is another nearby option, although waterpark opening dates can be later in the season, so check whether it will be operating during your May stay.
Can you visit Lake Garda without hiring a car?
Absolutely. We've explored Lake Garda using public transport ourselves, and it's one of the reasons I love this part of Italy for family holidays.
Peschiera del Garda has a railway station with connections towards Verona, Venice and other destinations, while buses and seasonal lake ferries can help you explore more of the area.
You might want to arrange an airport transfer for convenience, particularly with luggage, but you certainly don't need a hire car to enjoy the campsite and nearby attractions.
If you're planning to visit several towns around the lake, check the current ferry timetables before travelling, as services and routes vary by season.
