If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Paris, one of the biggest questions is usually:
What will the weather actually be like when we visit?
And the answer is, it really depends.
We’ve visited Disneyland Paris in every season over the years and had completely different experiences each time.
Some of our favourite trips have been during the first week of October. We’ve often still been in t-shirts during the day, just needing a sweater at night or a light jacket if it rains. You also get the added bonus of Halloween season, which is one of our favourite times in the parks.
But we’ve also visited in January and been absolutely frozen.
We’ve had February half terms where it felt bitterly cold all day, spring Easter trips with perfect sunshine, and one June trip during a heatwave where it reached around 35°C and queueing with kids became unbearable. We ended up giving up halfway through the day and heading back to the hotel pool instead.
On another one-day trip, we had heavy rain in the morning, glorious sunshine in the afternoon and then ended the day sweltering.
That’s probably the biggest thing to know about Disneyland Paris weather.
It can change fast.
Despite saying October, May and June are probably our favourite overall months, the reality is that most of our trips have actually been during August because of school holidays.
In this guide, I’ll explain what the weather is realistically like throughout the year, the best months to visit, and what to expect during each season.

A lot of people expect Disneyland Paris weather to be similar to Florida Disney parks.
It isn’t.
The weather is much more unpredictable.
You can get:
The parks stay open all year round, and most rides continue operating in all weather.
But weather changes the overall experience far more than many people expect.
A mild sunny day feels completely different to queueing in heavy rain or extreme heat.
That’s why choosing the right month can make such a big difference.
Spring is one of our favourite times to visit Disneyland Paris.
The parks start feeling brighter again after winter, temperatures become more comfortable, and everything generally feels easier than during peak summer.
Typical temperatures are around:
The weather can still feel mixed though.
You might start the morning in a coat and end the afternoon in a t-shirt.
Rain showers are still fairly common during spring, especially earlier in the season.
Easter trips can be lovely if you get good weather, but crowd levels increase during school holidays.
May is usually one of the nicest overall months in our experience.
You often get:
Summer is the hottest time to visit Disneyland Paris.
You usually get:
Typical temperatures are around:
But heatwaves definitely happen.
One of our June trips reached around 35°C and it became far too hot for queueing with kids. We ended up leaving the parks and spending the afternoon at the hotel pool instead.
That’s the difficult thing about summer at Disneyland Paris.
The longer hours are brilliant, but the heat can become exhausting very quickly.
Especially in:
Despite this, most of our trips have actually happened during August because of school holidays.
And while it’s busy, summer evenings at Disneyland Paris can feel fantastic.
Autumn is probably our favourite overall season at Disneyland Paris.
Especially early October.
We’ve had several October trips where daytime temperatures were still warm enough for t-shirts, with just a sweater needed at night.
You also get the added bonus of Halloween season, which completely changes the atmosphere around the parks.
Typical autumn temperatures are around:
Early October usually gives one of the best overall balances between:
Later October and November become colder and wetter, especially once you move deeper into autumn.
But if we had to pick one overall period to visit, early October would probably be it.
Winter is the coldest time to visit Disneyland Paris.
Temperatures are often around:
And it can feel even colder standing outside early in the morning or waiting for fireworks at night.
We’ve had January trips where we’ve been absolutely freezing all day.
But winter also brings some of the most atmospheric trips.
Especially during Christmas and snowfall.
We’ve visited during snow before and it completely changes the feel of the parks.
Main Street and the castle look incredible covered in snow.
That said, winter weather can also be hard work if you’re not prepared properly.
Good footwear and warm layers make a huge difference.
Usually July or August.
These months bring the highest temperatures and the biggest chance of heatwaves.
The parks can feel especially hot during busy afternoons when queues are long and shaded areas become crowded.
If you struggle with heat, June or early September are usually more comfortable than peak summer holidays.
Usually January.
Especially after the Christmas holidays end.
January can feel:
But it’s also one of the quieter times to visit.
So there’s often a trade-off between weather and crowd levels.
Rain is possible at any time of year.
Autumn and winter generally feel wetter overall, but summer storms also happen.
One of our one-day trips started with heavy rain in the morning before turning into sunshine and heat later in the afternoon.
That’s why layers are usually the safest option at Disneyland Paris.
The good news is that rain rarely ruins the trip.
Most rides continue operating as normal, and there are far more indoor attractions than many people realise.

Yes, sometimes.
Snow isn’t guaranteed every winter, but it definitely happens.
We’ve experienced snowfall at Disneyland Paris ourselves and while it changes the day slightly, it can also make the parks feel incredibly special.
Most attractions continue operating unless conditions become particularly severe.

This changes massively depending on the season.

Layers are usually best.
The temperature can change a lot throughout the day.
If we were choosing purely based on weather, we’d probably pick:
These months usually give the best balance between:
Early October is probably our personal favourite overall.
You still often get mild weather, Halloween season has started, and the parks usually feel much more manageable than peak summer.
At Disneyland Paris, weather makes a much bigger difference than many people expect.
A mild sunny day can make the parks feel relaxed and easy.
Extreme heat, heavy rain or freezing temperatures can completely change the experience.
That doesn’t mean there’s a bad time to visit.
Every season has positives.
But understanding what the weather is realistically like throughout the year helps you plan better and avoid surprises once you arrive.
