Disneyland Paris New Rides, Shows and Lands for 2026
Disneyland Paris has gone through one of its biggest transformations in years, with over €2 billion being invested into new lands, rides and experiences.
This is not just a few small updates. It is a full expansion that is changing how the parks feel, especially with the rebrand of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World. We were lucky to visit the rebranded park on opening day and it completely changes the feel of that side of Disneyland Paris.
If you are planning a trip, here is everything that has already opened, what is new at Disneyland Paris in 2026, and what is still to come.

1. Disney Adventure World Has Officially Launched
Walt Disney Studios Park is now officially Disney Adventure World, marking a major shift in the park’s identity.
This isn’t just a name change. The park is being transformed into a more immersive, story-led experience with new themed areas, improved layout and a much stronger focus on family attractions.
This change also sets the foundation for everything else that has opened and is still to come.
2. World of Frozen Is Now Open
One of the biggest additions is the brand new World of Frozen, which officially opened on 29 March 2026.
This area brings Arendelle to life in a way that feels completely different to anything else in the park. It is built around a large lake, detailed theming and a much more open, immersive layout.
The main attraction here is Frozen Ever After, a gentle boat ride through scenes with Elsa, Anna and Olaf. It is very similar in pace and style to It’s a Small World, making it ideal for families and younger children.
Alongside the ride, the whole area has been built out so it feels like a destination rather than just a single attraction. There’s a full Arendelle village to walk through, with detailed buildings, themed shops and plenty of places to explore.
The castle itself sits at the back of the land and is one of the main focal points as you walk in, and it really does feel like you’ve stepped straight into the film.
There’s also a new restaurant called Arendelle: The Royal Banquet, which overlooks the water and continues the theming inside. Between the shops, the setting and the space to wander, it’s one of those areas where you’ll naturally spend time without even realising, even if you’re not heading straight for the ride.
Frozen Ever After is suitable for small children and toddlers, but it’s worth knowing that it does include a small drop. It’s nothing too intense, but if your child is sensitive to rides or unsure of darker indoor attractions, it’s something to be aware of before joining the queue.

3. Rapunzel Ride Now Open
Another new addition that has already opened is the Rapunzel spinning ride.
We visited on opening day and this is one of those rides that is instantly popular with families. It is very similar to Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, with gentle spinning and bright, colourful theming based around the lantern scene.
There is no height restriction, so it is perfect for younger children and an easy one to fit into your day.
4. A New Night Time Show at Adventure Bay
With the opening of Disney Adventure World, a brand new night time show is also launching on the central lake.
This is very different to the main park fireworks. It uses water screens, fountains, lighting effects and drones, all set across the lake rather than around the castle.
It is designed to be a full evening experience within Adventure World itself, which changes how people plan their days between the two parks.
5. Disney Tales of Magic Night Show
Back in Disneyland Park, a brand new night time spectacular launched in 2025.
This show uses projections across Sleeping Beauty Castle and down Main Street, with a mix of fireworks, drones and music bringing different Disney stories to life.
It runs at park closing time and is one of the main reasons many people choose to stay until the end of the day.
6. Adventure Way and New Areas Still Expanding
Adventure Way is one of the biggest long-term changes within Disney Adventure World.
This area is designed more as a space to explore rather than just move through, with gardens, themed walkways and attractions gradually being added.
The Rapunzel ride sits within this wider area, and more developments are planned here over the next few years.
7. Lion King Water Ride Coming Next
A brand new Lion King themed water ride has been confirmed, with construction expected to begin from 2026.
This will be a major attraction within Adventure World and one of the biggest new rides planned for the park.
While it is not open yet, it is one to watch if you are planning future trips.
8. New ‘Up’ Themed Ride Planned
Disney has also confirmed a new attraction themed around Up.
This will be a family-friendly flying carousel style ride, expected to sit within the newer areas of Adventure World.
It is still in the early stages, but it continues the shift towards more accessible rides for all ages.
9. My Royal Dream Experience Now Open to All
The makeover experience at the Disneyland Hotel is now open to all guests, not just those staying at the hotel.
Children aged 3 and over can take part, with costumes available from age 4. Bookings are made through the app and are essential as it sells out quickly.
10. Disneyland Hotel Access Changes
Access to the Disneyland Hotel is now restricted.
You can no longer walk in freely. Entry is limited to hotel guests or those with a restaurant reservation or booking such as the Royal Dream experience.
This is designed to maintain the more premium feel of the hotel following its refurbishment.
11. Halloween at Disneyland Paris 2026
Halloween season at Disneyland Paris is set to run from 26th September to 1st November 2026.
During this time, the parks take on a completely different feel, with themed decorations, character meet and greets and special entertainment. Traditionally, most of the seasonal theming has been focused in Disneyland Park, and it’s still to be seen how much of Disney Adventure World will be included as the expansion continues.
More details on shows and parades are usually released closer to the time, but dates tend to follow a similar pattern each year.
12. Christmas at Disneyland Paris 2026
Christmas at Disneyland Paris will run from 7th November 2026 to 6th January 2027.
This is one of the most popular times to visit, with the entire park decorated, a huge Christmas tree on Main Street and daily festive shows and parades. You can expect themed entertainment, characters in Christmas outfits and even snowfall on Main Street.
If you’re planning a winter trip, this is when Disneyland Paris really leans into the full festive experience.
If you’re unsure whether Christmas is the right time to go, I’ve broken down the best times to visit Disneyland Paris here, including crowds, pricing and what each season is like.
We’ve also done an extreme day trip to Disneyland Paris during the Christmas season, so if you’re short on time, you can read exactly how we planned it and whether it’s worth doing here.
13. Sequoia Lodge Refurbishment
Sequoia Lodge is undergoing a major refurbishment, with all rooms and public areas being updated.
The new theme will move away from Bambi and expand into a broader forest theme featuring multiple Disney characters.
The hotel remains open during the works, with updates happening in phases.
14. Disney Village Expansion and New Restaurants
Disney Village is also going through a bit of a refresh, with new restaurants and updated spaces being added to improve the overall experience outside of the parks.
One of the most noticeable changes is the new McDonald’s, which has been rebuilt to be much larger. If you’ve ever queued there at peak times, you’ll know why this was needed. It’s a much better setup now, especially for families looking for something quick and easy.
There are also new dining options being introduced, including a new Italian restaurant, which will give more choice outside of the parks, particularly in the evenings. It’s all part of a wider plan to modernise Disney Village and make it feel more in line with the newer areas of Disney Adventure World.
Planning Your Disneyland Paris Trip
Disneyland Paris is no longer just adding a few new rides here and there. It is going through a full transformation.
With Disney Adventure World now open, the addition of World of Frozen, and more attractions already planned, the next few years are going to completely reshape the parks.
If you are planning a trip, it is worth knowing what is already open and what is still to come, as this can really change how you plan your time.
