If you are visiting Disneyland Paris with teenagers, one of the biggest questions is whether they will actually enjoy it.
A lot of guides focus heavily on thrill rides, but that does not always reflect real experiences.
My kids have been visiting Disneyland Paris since they were babies, and now they are older, they still enjoy many of the same rides. Not all teens are adrenaline seekers, and if they have grown up with Disney, the familiarity and nostalgia play a big role.
If you are planning a shorter trip, this becomes even more important. We often visit on extreme day trips, where you only have one day in the park, so choosing the right rides matters.
This guide covers the best Disneyland Paris rides for teens, based on real trips and what older kids actually enjoy.

Yes, they do.
Especially if they have visited before.
Rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom Manor are not just for younger children. They are immersive, detailed and still some of the best experiences in the park.
Even slower rides can work well when they are part of a balanced day. Mixing different types of attractions keeps the day from feeling repetitive and makes the experience more enjoyable overall.
This is where Disneyland Paris works particularly well for families with teenagers. There is enough variety to suit different preferences.
There is no single type of ride that works for all teens.
Some prefer high-speed coasters, while others enjoy immersive or more relaxed attractions. The best approach is a mix of both.
For teens who do enjoy faster rides, these are the main ones to prioritise.
Located in Discoveryland
One of the most popular rides for older kids. It is fast, includes inversions and feels more like a traditional theme park coaster.
Located in Avengers Campus
The most intense ride across both parks. Fast, high-energy and ideal for thrill-seeking teens.
Located in Adventureland
A shorter ride but still one that teens tend to enjoy due to the loop and faster pace
Located in Worlds of Pixar
Looks like a family ride but feels much more intense due to spinning and unpredictable movement. One of the busiest rides in the park.
Located in Worlds of Pixar
A simple concept but surprisingly intense. The swinging motion gives a weightless feeling at the highest points without going upside down.
Located in Production Courtyard
One of the best rides for teens. A drop tower with random sequences and strong theming that makes every ride feel different.
Located in Frontierland
One of the best all-round rides in Disneyland Paris.
It is not as intense as some of the bigger coasters, but it is fast, smooth and has some of the best theming in the park. The track runs across the lake, which makes it feel very different.
This is often one of our favourites as a family and a ride we always prioritise, especially on shorter trips.
On two recent visits, we chose to pay for Premier Access for this ride to skip the queue, which made a big difference on a busy day. It is one where that can be worth considering.
Not every teen wants constant high-speed rides. These attractions are often just as popular.
Located in Adventureland
A longer, more immersive ride than many expect and one of the best versions of this attraction.
Located in Frontierland
A darker ride with a storyline and atmosphere that appeals more to older children and teens.
Located in Worlds of Pixar
A modern 4D trackless ride that feels different to traditional attractions. Not intense, but still engaging.
If you only have one day at Disneyland Paris, choosing the right rides matters.
This is something we have tested properly on our extreme day trips, where we only have a single day in the park.
On one of our trips, we still managed to fit in a full mix of rides, food stops and shows without feeling rushed.
The key is not trying to do everything, but focusing on a balanced mix of rides that give you the best overall experience.
On a typical one-day trip, we prioritise:
This gives you a full experience of the park rather than just rushing between rides.
Teens do not just want constant queues and fast rides.
Mixing ride types keeps the day more enjoyable and stops it feeling repetitive.
It also means everyone gets something out of the day, especially if you are travelling with a mix of preferences.
These are the rides we prioritise on our own extreme day trips when time is limited.
This gives a strong mix of thrill, immersive and high-demand experiences.
For some of the bigger rides, it can be.
Rides like:
can regularly have long queues, especially during peak times.
If you are visiting for just one day, or doing an extreme day trip, paying for Premier Access on one or two key rides can help you fit more into your day.
It is not something you need for every ride, but using it selectively on the busiest attractions can make a noticeable difference.
We have used it ourselves on rides like Big Thunder Mountain when queue times were high, and it allowed us to make better use of our time.
We have broken down one of our extreme day trips in full, including every ride we did, where we ate and what shows we saw.

This depends on the individual.
Some teens will go on everything, particularly if they have grown up visiting. Others may prefer to prioritise larger or more immersive attractions.
Rides that are often lower priority include:
However, many older children still enjoy them as part of the overall experience.
Teens are more likely to enjoy the trip if they have had input into what rides and experiences they prioritise.
Trying to do everything can lead to a rushed experience. It is better to focus on a mix of key rides and allow time to explore.
Some rides, particularly Crush’s Coaster, can have long wait times. Planning your day around these makes a big difference.
Food, shops and downtime all help improve the experience, especially on longer or busier days.
Yes, but it depends on how the trip is planned.
If the focus is only on rides aimed at younger children, teens may lose interest. When the day includes a mix of thrill rides, immersive attractions and time to explore, it works very well.
For teens who have grown up visiting, the experience often changes rather than loses its appeal.
