If you’re flying into Charles de Gaulle Airport and heading to Disneyland Paris, one of the biggest questions is usually:
What’s the easiest way to get there?
Over our 19 trips to Disneyland Paris, we’ve used almost every transport option possible between CDG Airport and the parks.
We’ve done:
Some worked brilliantly. Others we probably would not use again depending on the situation.
The truth is, the “best” option really depends on:

When our children were younger, private transfers were always our preferred option.
After a long journey to the airport, time waiting for the flight and then travelling with a baby on your lap, we always found a private transfer far more convenient.
A 50-minute journey in an air-conditioned car, with a child safely restrained in a car seat who will probably sleep most of the way, meant we arrived far less stressed and without overtired, cranky kids.
Someone meets you in arrivals with your name on a sign, helps with luggage and takes you directly to your hotel. There’s no navigating stations, lifting luggage up steps or trying to work out tickets after a flight.
For us, that convenience was worth paying extra for.
Now our children are older and we often travel with just one child, we’re much more likely to use the TGV or grab an Uber instead.

If you want something quicker and easier than public transport without paying full private transfer prices, Uber is usually the best middle ground.
We’ve used Uber several times between CDG and Disneyland Paris, including on our extreme day trip to Disneyland Paris when our TGV tickets sold out while we were walking to the platform.
This is important because many people automatically join the taxi queue outside the airport.
A standard Paris airport taxi to Disneyland Paris is often around €90.
Uber is usually closer to €50–€60.
That’s a huge saving.
Honestly, unless there’s no availability, we would nearly always choose Uber over a standard taxi.
If your timings line up, the TGV is by far the fastest way to get from CDG Airport to Disneyland Paris.
The journey takes just 9 minutes.
Yes, genuinely 9 minutes.
The train goes directly from CDG Airport to Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station, which is right outside Disneyland Paris.
We’ve only really started using the TGV in recent years.
For years I avoided it because people online made it sound stressful, especially with small children, luggage and a pushchair.
In reality, when you’re only travelling between CDG and Disneyland Paris, it’s much easier than I expected.
That said, there are still large steps onto the train and limited space if you’re juggling younger children, so personally I’d still choose a private transfer for ease when travelling as a family.
The TGV works best for:
Tickets are tied to a specific train.
Because CDG passport control can sometimes take over an hour, we usually recommend:
We actually missed out on tickets during one trip because trains sold out while we were walking to the platform.

If keeping costs low matters most, the Paris metro and RER system is easily the cheapest way to get from CDG Airport to Disneyland Paris.
But it is also:
You’ll take:
Honestly, no.
Paris transport is much easier than it used to be.
The new flat fare system and Navigo app make things far simpler now.
But after a flight, especially with children or luggage, it can feel exhausting.
We think the metro works best for:
We would not personally choose this option after a long flight with younger children.
Some stations have lots of stairs and not all are particularly pushchair friendly.
We’ve written a full real-life guide to using the Paris Metro here.
The Disney Magic Shuttle is the official Disneyland Paris airport shuttle bus.
We used this a couple of times on our earlier Disneyland Paris trips, but honestly, it’s probably our least favourite option overall now.
A family of four can easily pay around €70 return.
At that point, we’d personally rather pay slightly more for an Uber or private transfer.
The last bus is usually around 7:45pm from CDG.
We personally would not rely on it if landing later in the evening because:
It serves:
Some other hotels require changing transport afterwards.
If you’re travelling as:
this can sometimes work well financially.

The cheapest option is usually the RER/metro train combination, which costs around €14 per person.
You’ll take the RER B from Charles de Gaulle Airport into Paris, then change onto the RER A to Marne-la-Vallée Chessy (Disneyland Paris).
It takes around 1 hour 20 minutes and involves changing trains, so while it’s the cheapest option, it’s not always the easiest with luggage or children.
Transport is only part of the budget too, so we've also broken down realistic spending costs inside Disneyland Paris.
Usually, yes.
A standard airport taxi from CDG to Disneyland Paris is often around €90, whereas Uber is normally closer to €50–€60 depending on demand and vehicle size.
For families or groups, Uber can work out significantly cheaper.
The TGV high-speed train is by far the fastest option.
The journey takes just 9 minutes from CDG Airport Terminal 2 to Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station, which is right beside the Disney parks.
Honestly, it’s easier than we expected.
For years we avoided it because people online made it sound stressful with luggage and pushchairs, but when travelling directly between CDG and Disneyland Paris, it’s very straightforward.
That said, there are large steps onto the train and limited luggage space, so with babies or very young children we still personally prefer private transfers.
If you're trying to travel lighter and avoid extra airline costs, we've also shared how we do Disneyland Paris with hand luggage only.
The Disney Magic Shuttle usually takes between 1 hour and 1.5 hours depending on traffic and hotel stops.
It can sometimes take longer during busy periods.
For families with younger children, we personally think yes.
After a flight, having someone meet you in arrivals and take you directly to your hotel without navigating stations or public transport can make the start of the trip far less stressful.
It’s especially useful with:
Yes.
Both the TGV train and private transfers/Ubers go directly from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris without needing to travel into central Paris first.
If budget allows, we still think private transfers are the easiest and least stressful option for families with younger children.
Once children are older, the TGV becomes much more appealing because the speed is genuinely impressive.
For extreme day trips, we’d probably choose:
just for flexibility.
Meanwhile, if you’re trying to keep costs as low as possible, the metro absolutely works — you just need to be prepared for a longer journey.
