We've found some fantastic-value DIY breaks to Montreux Noël, one of Europe's most beautiful Christmas markets, with return flights, accommodation and an underseat bag from just £183pp based on two adults sharing.
Set on the shores of Lake Geneva, Montreux offers a magical festive atmosphere with lakeside chalets, Flying Santa, mountain views and easy access to some of Switzerland's most scenic train journeys.
Not only can you explore the lakeside Christmas markets, but you can also take the cogwheel railway up to Rochers-de-Naye to visit Santa's House, or experience one of Switzerland's famous scenic trains, including the vintage Belle Époque or the panoramic GoldenPass Express.
Villa Toscane is a great-value base for exploring Montreux. It's within easy walking distance of the Christmas markets and close to the lakeside promenade, making it easy to explore the town on foot.

Montreux is one of my favourite Christmas market destinations in Europe.
The market stretches along the shores of Lake Geneva with over 150 festive chalets, Flying Santa, mountain scenery and plenty of Swiss food to try.
If you have a little longer, you could also take the cogwheel railway up to Rochers-de-Naye to visit Santa's House, or hop aboard either the GoldenPass Express or the beautiful vintage GoldenPass Belle Époque train.
Flying into Geneva couldn't be easier either. Simply catch the direct train from Geneva Airport to Montreux in around 1 hour 15 minutes. I'll link my guide below.
